Labour Day long weekend getaway to Summerland, Canada

My attempt to capture the sunset while driving down the freeway...

Where I grew up'z...

Over looking Summerland (Jones Flat Rd area)

The beautiful 85 mile long Okanagan Lake

Our friendly backyard "jumping" Cactus

Yummy apple orchard

Prairie Valley

Summerland Yacht club and Okanagan Lake

Feeding the Japanese Coy fish

Nothing like reading trashy hollywood magazines (US Weekly) while catching some rays

Mel and I chilling at Rotary Beach

Mel's wet spot (lol)

Out for dins with the fam...

Summerland's infamous "Hotel California"

...then off to the bars (The Barking Parrot and The Blue Mule)

Nice pickup girls...he's what 60? lol

A little air guitar to AC/DC

Mel, Keya and I

  "Hair of the dog"

Summerland's infamous "Peacock Perch" pub. A definite "must see" if ever in Summerland.

The largest "pint" I've ever seen...apparently it's the largest in the Okanangan Valley. All the more reason to stop by Peacock's Perch.

Jana & I (thanks again for the "pint")

  Drinkin' N'Sliding at WaterWorld Waterslides

"The Last Slide" was awesome! After 25yrs of operations Penticton's Water World is being torn down! Many many great childhood memories created there.

Auntie Michelle, Ileya and Nathan

A drink and a warm up before hitting the slides again...

Good thing lifeguard wasn't on duty...

THE best way to waterslide (as we discovered last night) in the dark

Rebels...

Love the beehive...

The war wounds are already evident

After 12hrs...the war wounds have expanded. Guess this is why they don't allow face first on your stomach sliding. lol
