Home for the week - yes that's the hotels private Phantom Rolls Royce ($450,00) for their VIP guests (of course they picked me up in it at the airport) |

(Four Seasons started as a Canadian company, hence the Canadian flag) |

Very high security! Actually highest I've ever seen at a hotel. They had the same scanners the airports do that you'd have to go through everytime you went into the hotel.
This is a pic of my gorgeous "Wife"! Only time I've ever been allowed to see what's on the airport scanners let alone take a pic. |

Gotta love Turn Down service! |

What you get when you ask for "a" water at the Four Seasons... |
|

Damascus is very denesly populated city! |

Everyone has satellites! The red dots are big water containers. |

The local "mall" - indoors although appears as night time |
|

Spotted me from across the way taking photos and gestured to take his photo (which you see above). The Syrians, much like the Turkish people really like having their photos taken. Found it quite facsinating compared to our culture where we probably wouldn't ask a stranger to take our photo that we would never see again. |

No shoes allowed anywhere in the mosque. You're given a "shoe bag" to put them in and carry around. |

Another view from my hotel room |

Now that's a roundabout - 5 spoke, 4 lanes deep! |

When in Rome! Didn't have any proper photographic lighting so ended up jerry rigging this together! Amazingly enough photos turned out great! |
